Carls idea was for me to get out first and lean on the new tyres from lap 1 and it worked a treat, 7 laps and I came in to the pits in pole position and waited for my tyres to cool for another go towards the end. We slipped down to 3rd so I went out to try again but the tyres were still hot and we ended up qualifying 6th which was a great result. see below how the first lap of the race unfolded, we finished 5th over all and first in class lapping the 2nd in class in the last few laps, a great result. I apologise for the language but I expect we are all the same in the hot seat on the day.
As we do every year so far at our home race, we invited family and friends of the team some 50 of them along for the day. Every one had a great time and supported us well and was rewarded with food and drink laid on by Ann my wife and our friend Steli on the barbeque. Every one enjoyed the day as much as me it seemed and some went home a little wobbly, thanks to everyone for the great support.
Sponsorship Opportunities.
This is a concourse built 2017 Race car, regularly at the top of its class. We would be happy to discuss potential sponsorship deals.
Racing is fun and potential sponsors would be looked after as one of the team and could be involved if it works for the team and the sponsor.
Currently the team is funded solely by the owner.
